Announcement for Applications to Prepare and Develop Studies in Scientific Research at King Faisal University

In the course of striving to be acquainted with the state of affairs of scientific research and to design a strategic plan for its future, and on the basis of adopting the principle of quality assurance and academic accreditation as well as the proposed vision of scientific research at the University on the one hand, i.e., excellence at scientific research and the proposed mission on the other i.e., creating an environment conducive to creativity and excellence at scientific research in the interest of national development objectives and human civilization, the Permanent Committee for Scientific Research has the pleasure to invite researchers and all those interested to submit projects for preparing two studies. The first is about the state of affairs of scientific research at King Faisal University during the last five years. The second is a future plan for achieving quality and excellence in scientific research at the University in the coming ten years. Those who are interested should submit their research proposals for one or both of the studies, taking the following into consideration:
1- The period of time predicted for carrying out the study is six months.
2- The proposal for carrying out the study should include the following:
- a detailed description of the research proposal
- the time schedule for carrying out the study
- the members of the research team
- the fund for the study
3- submitting a periodic report on the expiry of half the period of time allowed for accomplishing the study, and a final report on accomplishing the study
4- The deadline for receiving the research proposals for carrying out the study is Wednesday 30/5/1429 H corresponding to 4/6/2008 G
5- The research proposals for carrying out the study should be forwarded to the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in three paper copies together with an electronic copy on a magnetized or compact disc.
